At Expedition Readiness and Safety Academy (ERSA), we specialize in delivering elite training for individuals and teams working in polar bear environments, to help identify, understand and avoid or manage unwanted polar bear behaviour. ERSA is a Canadian Business fully licensed and insured. Our instructors are certified by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Canadian Shooting Sports Association (CSSA), licensed to instruct the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC). ERSA is also an accredited Polar Tourism Guide Academy (PTGA)Training and Assessment Provider (TAP), and associate members of the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO). Our instructors have worked with many sectors of Canadian and USA governments, including law enforcement and military but specialized in working with the general public and the nuances that come with teaching a diverse group. In addition to our training programs, we also offer firearm procurement, leasing and maintenance programs and have developed custom equipment for firearm handlers and bear monitors to increase safety and effectiveness of deterrents.
